For the care, protection and maintenance of your concrete flower pots and urns, please follow these instructions:
· Place screen or landscape fabric over drainage hole before adding soil. This prevents the hole from being clogged.
· Flower pots and urns may be left out for the winter, but leave them full of soil (the hole allows for drainage.) For deeper planters, gravel should be placed first, then add soil, this allows for better drainage.
· Do Not cover with plastic.
· Do Not leave on concrete, asphalt, or frozen surface, such as grass or dirt, they may freeze or soak up moisture, causing crumbling on the bottom of the piece.
· The bottom of the pot or urn should be elevated off of the frost (on a piece of wood or gravel.)
· If you wish to paint the items, use exterior latex paint only.
· DO NOT spray with sealers.
· All colors and sizes of exterior latex paint sold at Potteryland, Inc.
